Are you self-motivated, organised, empathetic, able to work independently and think on your feet, then you might want to consider joining a small team of like-minded people.
Our charity, Carers Support, works across Bristol and S. Glos to support unpaid family carers who are supporting their loved ones at home. Our Young Carers Service provides help and support to children and young people aged 8-18, their families, and professionals working with young carers. This role is the development of a new service for 18-25 year-old Young Adult Carers
Young carers and Young Adult Carers look after someone in their family who has a disability, a long-term illness, or is affected by mental ill health or substance misuse.
We currently have a vacancy in our dynamic, creative and supportive Young Carers team, for this new role that will set up peer support groups with young adult carers.
We are looking to recruit a passionate, committed professional who understands young carers unique needs.
Main duties would include:

• Promote Young Adult Carers (18-25years) peer support groups
• Organise meet ups based on what YAC want.
• Provide advice and information in the sessions responding to needs identified.
• Work with YAC members to develop the peer support groups into a sustainable future.
