Job summary

Vale of Glamorgan Council in Barry is seeking a Practitioner Manager for the Youth Justice Early Support Service (YJESS) to oversee prevention and diversion work and lead continuous improvement across the team.

The successful candidate will have experience with YJESS; Asset Plus and Prevention and Diversion assessment frameworks, Keeping Safe management, and will undergo a DBS Enhanced check. 37 hours per week; salary £38,510–£42,123 p.a.; based at 91 Salisbury Road, Barry.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the quality of practice and support continuous improvement within YJESS.
• Lead and manage Prevention and Resources as part of the YJESS Management Team.

Description: The Youth Justice Early Support Service aims to support children to live positive and crime free lives and achieve their full potential. The Practitioner Manager role forms part of the YJESS Management Team; with responsibility for Prevention and Resources. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the ability to oversee the quality of practice and support continuous improvement. Applicants will require relevant YJESS; Asset plus and Prevention and Diversion assessment frameworks and Keeping Safe management experience.
