About The Role

Penbridge Schoolisseeking to appoint a vibrant and nurturingYear Leader - Juniorsto join our talented team in the Junior School fromSeptember 2025.

The successful candidate will be an experienced educator with a proven track record of leadership and innovation to lead a specific year group. As the Year Lead, you will play a pivotal role in shaping academic and pastoral success, working closely with staff, pupils and parents to ensure that every child achieves their potential.

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled teacher and emerging leader who is looking to take the next step in their professional journey or for an established Year Lead ready for a new challenge.

Lead, support and inspirea team of teachers and teaching assistants within the year group.
Drive high standardsin teaching, learning and assessment.
Monitor and supportpupil progress, behaviour, and well-being.
Coordinate planning and curriculumdelivery to ensure consistency and progression.
Act as a role modelof outstanding classroom practice.


What you will need to succeed:


Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)and recent successful teaching experience at the primary level.
A strong understandingof the primary curriculum and assessment.
Proven leadership skillsor leadership potential.
Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational abilities.
A passion for teachingand a commitment to pupil achievement and well-being.

About Us

Formally known as Penhale Infant School and Newbridge Junior School, we officially joined together in September 2022 to form Penbridge Infants and Junior School.The infants site comprises of a nursery with 24 places for funded 2-4 year olds and a 2-form entry infant school with 180 children on the roll including 24 in our Rainbow Fish Inclusion Unit.The juniors site comprises of a 4-form entry school with 440 children on the roll.
