Job summary

Network Rail is offering an Early Careers year-in-industry placement in Environment and Sustainability, based in Milton Keynes. You will work with the Technical Authority and sustainability professionals, gaining broad exposure to decarbonisation, circular economy and environmental management projects across the organisation.

You will develop skills through campaigns, data analysis and reporting, with opportunities to visit sites and contribute to the Greener Railway strategy.

Qualifications

• Penultimate year at university and seeking a year-in-industry placement
• On track to achieve at least a 2:2 in a relevant degree
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are important
• Familiarity with IT applications like Excel and PowerBI is a plus

Responsibilities

• Researching and writing case studies and guidance notes to support colleagues
• Reviewing and updating standards against new compliance obligations
• Running campaigns and events to improve engagement
• Supporting data reporting, collating and analysing data to inform decision making
