Job summary

Teaching Personnel in Fakenham is seeking a dedicated Year 7 SEN Teacher to join a welcoming special school on a temporary basis from 3 September to 2 October 2026.

You will teach a Year 7 class, adapting lessons for learners with Communication and Interaction difficulties, and collaborate with teaching assistants to create an inclusive, engaging environment. A valid UK driving licence and Enhanced DBS registered on Update Service are essential.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is required or essential.
• Enhanced DBS (Children’s Barred List) registered on Update Service is essential.
• UK driving licence is essential for this role.
• All applicants must have the appropriate safeguarding checks and qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Teach and support a Year 7 class throughout the school day.
• Plan and deliver engaging, accessible lessons for individual needs.
• Build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Support students with communication and interaction difficulties.
• Work with teaching assistants and other staff to promote learning.
• Promote positive behaviour, confidence and independence.
• Adapt teaching approaches to meet diverse learning needs.
