Job summary

Duckmanton Primary School, part of Redhill Academy Trust, is seeking a Year 6 Teacher on a full-time permanent basis, to start from 1 January 2027. You will teach Year 6 in a small cohort of 18 pupils, with a strong focus on English and mathematics and accelerating progress for all learners.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience as an Upper KS2 practitioner, shaping outcomes and collaborating with staff, parents and the wider school community to raise standards.

Qualifications

• Must be an experienced Upper Key Stage 2 practitioner with a proven track record of raising standards.

Responsibilities

• Teach Year 6 and lead learning for end of Key Stage 2.
• Use assessment to identify next steps and secure progress in English and mathematics.
• Forge excellent relationships with colleagues, parents and children.
• Contribute to school improvement and wider curriculum planning.
