Qualifications

  • Experience teaching in upper Key Stage 2, ideally Year 6.
  • Strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum and assessment frameworks.
  • Willingness to apply for a valid DBS.

Your new company
Hays Education is proud to be working with a welcoming and well-regarded primary school in Radstock, seeking a dedicated Year 6 Teacher to join their team for the (Apply online only) academic year. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a supportive school environment as pupils prepare for their transition to secondary education.

Your new role
As the Year 6 Class Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons in line with the KS2 curriculum
  • Prepare pupils for end-of-year assessments and SATs
  • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment
  • Work closely with teaching assistants, SEN staff, and parents to support pupil progress
  • Contribute to the wider school community and extracurricular activities



What you'll need to succeed

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching in upper Key Stage 2, ideally Year 6
  • Strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum and assessment frameworks
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills
  • A valid DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one)
