Year 6 Teacher - key responsibilities:

Teaching a class within Upper Key Stage 2.
Leading a curriculum subject area (excluding Maths or English) - leadership responsibility not required for ECTs.
Delivering and adapting the National Curriculum creatively and confidently.
Actively participating in wider school life, including community events and enrichment activities.

Year 6 Teacher - candidate requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Proven experience teaching within Upper Key Stage 2.
Strong classroom management skills and a commitment to high standards of pupil achievement and behaviour.
Ability to plan, deliver, and adapt high-quality lessons across the curriculum.
Experience leading a curriculum subject area (not required for ECTs).
Commitment to promoting an inclusive learning environment.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Enthusiasm for contributing to the wider life and ethos of the school.
