Your Role as a Year 6 Teacher

  • Develop pupils\' critical thinking, problem-solving, and independent learning skills.
  • Provide targeted support and interventions to ensure all students make progress.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, using data to inform teaching and address gaps in learning.
  • Foster a growth mindset, resilience, and a love for learning among pupils.
  • Work collaboratively with the KS2 team to ensure a smooth transition to secondary school.
  • Build strong relationships with parents, carers, and colleagues to support each child\'s academic and personal development.
Qualifications
  • A qualified teacher with QTS (or equivalent).
  • Experience teaching in Key Stage 2, ideally in a Year 6 setting.
