Year 6 Teacher - Potters Bar

Academics are on the search for a Year 6 Teacher. A well-performing school is seeking to appoint a dedicated and passionate individual to join their team as a Year 6 Teacher.

Teaching Position: Year 6 Teacher

Location of school: Potters Bar, Hertfordshire

Pay scale: MPS1 to MPS6

Contract: Full time, term time only

The successful Year 6 Class teacher will:

• Be an enthusiastic, reflective, and innovative teacher.
• Have excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues, parents, and external partners.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of effective teaching strategies and the National Curriculum.
• Be committed to creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all children feel valued.
• Have a good understanding that behaviour is a form of communication and experience/knowledge of using strategies to support this.
• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and have an excellent level of competency in English (spoken and written) and Maths.
• Able to commute to Potters Bar.

Key responsibilities include:

• Planning and delivering engaging, exciting lessons to meet the diverse needs of your class.
• Assessing and monitoring pupil progress, providing constructive feedback, and supporting their development.
• Adapting learning via scaffolding and support to suit the needs of the class.
• Building positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
• Contributing to the wider school community through involvement in extracurricular activities or school initiatives.
