Job description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Year 6 Teacher to join a committed and dynamic team. This is a key role for a confident teacher who is passionate about supporting pupils through the final year of primary school and preparing them for the transition to secondary education. Starting September 2025.

Duties as a Year 6 Teacher:

• Deliver engaging, well-structured lessons aligned with the Key Stage 2 curriculum

• Prepare pupils effectively for end-of-year assessments, including SATs

• Promote a classroom culture of high expectations, respect and resilience

• Use assessment data to inform teaching and provide targeted support

• Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents

• Contribute to whole-school initiatives and the wider school community

Ideal Year 6 Teacher:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• Have experience teaching in Upper Key Stage 2, ideally Year 6

• Be confident in supporting pupils through SATs preparation

• Demonstrate excellent classroom management and organisational skills as a Year 6 Teacher.

• Be reflective, collaborative and committed to raising standards of teaching and learning
