Job description

Elevate Supply is working in partnership with a well-established primary school in Bury to appoint an experienced and confident Year 6 Teacher for a full-time position starting as soon as possible. This role is ideal for a teacher who enjoys the challenge of upper Key Stage 2 and is confident preparing pupils for SATs. The school has a supportive leadership team, a clear behaviour policy, and a strong focus on academic progress. You’ll be working within a structured curriculum and will have the opportunity to contribute to a collaborative and inclusive school culture.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the Year 6 curriculum

Prepare pupils for end-of-year assessments and ensure high levels of engagement and progress

Create a positive and well-managed classroom environment

Support pupils with varying needs, including those with SEND and EAL

Work closely with teaching colleagues and school leaders to maintain high standards

What We're Looking For

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Experience teaching in upper Key Stage 2, ideally with Year 6 or SATs experience

Strong classroom management and planning skills

A calm, consistent approach with a focus on pupil progress

Ability to work effectively as part of a wider teaching team
