Teach Plus are working with a thriving 3-form entry primary school in Waltham Forest seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Year 6 Teacher to join their team from January. As a Year 6 Teacher, you will play a key role in preparing pupils for the transition to secondary school, supported by experienced colleagues and shared planning across the year group. Job Responsibilities

As a Year 6 Teacher, you will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons that challenge and inspire all learners.
  • Prepare pupils for end-of-year SATs and ensure strong academic progress.
  • Work collaboratively with the Year 6 team through shared planning and resource development.
  • Assess and track pupil attainment and progress, providing constructive feedback.
  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour, learning, and achievement.
  • Participate in whole-school initiatives and take on additional responsibilities if awarded a TLR.
Qualifications/Experience

To be successful in this Year 6 Teacher role, you will need:

  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
  • Proven experience as a Year 6 Teacher or teaching within Upper Key Stage 2
  • A strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum and SATs preparation
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills
  • Enhanced DBS Certificate with the Update Service
  • Right to work in the UK
