Job summary

Aspire People is seeking an enthusiastic Year 6 Teacher for a two-term temporary role in Coventry. You will join a welcoming primary school team and lead a Year 6 class, delivering engaging, challenging and inclusive lessons after the October half-term break.

The successful candidate will plan a broad curriculum, differentiate for all learners, and prepare pupils for the transition to secondary school, while maintaining high standards of attainment and behaviour.

Qualifications

• QTS status is required.
• Extensive knowledge of the Year 6 curriculum.
• SATS experience is required.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service.
• Up-to-date safeguarding and allergy training.
• References covering the last two years of employment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons across the full primary curriculum.
• Teach a broad and balanced Year 6 curriculum that challenges and inspires pupils.
• Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners.
• Maintain high expectations of attainment, progress, behaviour and presentation.
• Use assessment to identify gaps in learning and inform future planning.
