Job description

Start Date: September 2025 (Trial Day required next week)
Training Date: Monday, 17th June 2025 (Attendance mandatory)
Location: Primary School in Leytonstone
Contract Type: Full-time, Term-Time Only

A Primary School are seeking a compassionate, confident, and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to provide dedicated 1:1 support for a child entering Year 6 in September who has Type 1 Diabetes.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has direct experience supporting children with Type 1 Diabetes in a school or care setting
  • Is confident in monitoring and managing blood sugar levels and responding to the child s medical needs
  • Can build a trusting and sensitive relationship with a child who is emotionally aware and may need extra reassurance and understanding
  • Has a nurturing approach and a calm, professional manner
  • Is available for a trial day next week and able to attend essential training on 17th June 2025
