About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Year 6 teacher with a proven track record of success in KS2. The maternity cover is for the academic year 2025/26, with an earlier start possible for the right candidate. Core-subject leaders are encouraged to apply. You will play a key role in our mission to provide every student with a quality education and real life choices, regardless of background. As a passionate practitioner, you will deliver high-quality, rigorous lessons that promote achievement at KS2 and foster a love of learning beyond the primary classroom.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set high expectations to motivate and challenge students to reach their full potential and meet their progress and attainment targets.
  • Plan and deliver well-structured, adapted lessons aligned with the curriculum to stimulate students’ intellectual curiosity.
  • Utilize data to inform teaching, identify intervention areas, and communicate progress to students, staff, and families.
  • Manage behaviour by fostering a classroom environment where students are ‘ready, respectful, and safe’.
  • Collaborate with colleagues within the school and network to build successful, high-performing teams.
  • Participate actively in network meetings, training, and initiatives.
  • Work with colleagues, students, and families to develop a strong school community.
