Job description

Year 6 class teacher needed from September 2025. Bebington, Wirral.

Your new company

A primary school based in Bebington on the Wirral is looking to appoint an experienced Key Stage 2 teacher to take their Year 6 class from September 2025. This is a full-time position for one academic year in the first instance.

Your new role

This is a two-form entry school, so you will be working alongside a partner Year 6 teacher to ensure the children are ready for their Year 6 SATs and transition to secondary education. Prior experience working in KS2 is essential, and previous experience leading SATs would be an advantage. You will be responsible for all planning, teaching, and assessment for your class, as well as supporting your partner teacher.

What you'll need to succeed

For this Year 6 class teaching job, you will need:

  • QTS
  • A proven record of working in KS2 (Year 6 if possible) that can be referenced
  • Excellent communication, literacy, and numeracy skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and effectively share planning and resources
  • Experience of leading Year 6 SATs would be an advantage
