  • START DATE: ASAP or January 2026
  • LOCATION: Waltham Forest, North East London

A welcoming and ambitious primary school in Waltham Forest, North East London, is seeking an experienced Year 6 Class Teacher to join their team ASAP or from January 2026. This role is available on a full-time or part-time basis, and the school is particularly interested in teachers with solid KS2 experience, ideally those beyond their ECT year, who can confidently support pupils through their final year of primary education.

About the role: Year 6 Class Teacher
  • Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality Year 6 lessons
  • Prepare pupils for SATs while maintaining a balanced and engaging curriculum
  • Use effective differentiation to meet a wide range of learning needs
  • Foster strong behaviour management and a positive learning environment
  • Work closely with the SLT, Year 6 team, and support staff
  • Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues
  • Safeguard pupils and uphold school policies at all times
  • Permanent or Fixed Term contract

The ideal candidate: Year 6 Class Teacher
  • QTS required
  • Ideally NOT an ECT - school prefers teachers with Y6/Upper KS2 experience
  • Strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum and SATs preparation
  • Confident, organised, and proactive in your teaching approach
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills
  • Passionate about raising attainment and supporting pupil progress
