Year 5 Teacher Responsibilities

  • Monitor and assess student progress in Year 5, providing targeted feedback and interventions to support achievement.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment in Year 5 that promotes high expectations and a love of learning.
  • Regularly communicate with parents and guardians, providing updates on student progress in Year 5 and addressing any concerns.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and enhance the learning experience for all students.
  • Contribute to whole-school initiatives and participate in school-wide activities to promote community spirit.
Year 5 Teacher Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Significant experience teaching in Key Stage 2, with a strong track record of improving student outcomes in Year 5.
  • Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and effective assessment methods for Year 5.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • A commitment to fostering an inclusive and high-achieving learning environment in Year 5.
  • A collaborative, forward-thinking approach to teaching and school improvement.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and growth as an educator.
