Job description

We are seeking an inspiring and enthusiastic Year 5 Teacher to join our dedicated Key Stage 2 team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with curious, capable pupils as they begin to tackle more complex concepts and prepare for the transition to Year 6. Beginning September 2025.

Duties as a Year 5 Teacher:
  1. Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons that challenge and support all learners.
  2. Assess, track and report on pupils' progress in line with school policy.
  3. Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that supports personal and academic growth.
  4. Work closely with colleagues, support staff, and families to meet the needs of all pupils.
  5. Contribute to the wider school community and participate in school events and initiatives.
Ideal Year 5 Teacher:
  1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  2. A strong understanding of the Key Stage 2 curriculum.
  3. Excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
  4. A reflective, proactive teaching approach.
  5. A passion for helping children thrive and a commitment to continuous professional development.
