Job summary

An education recruitment agency is seeking a passionate Year 5 Teacher for a supportive school in Barry, starting September 2025. The ideal candidate will deliver engaging lessons, support literacy and numeracy, and create a positive learning environment. This role is perfect for experienced teachers or NQT/ECT looking for valuable classroom experience.

Qualifications

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
  • Experience teaching Key Stage 2, especially Year 5.
  • Strong understanding of KS1 curriculum, adaptable for various learning needs.
  • Two professional references from the last two years.

Job description

Academics are an education recruitment agency working in partnership with primary schools across South Wales. We are currently seeking a passionate and committed Year 5 Teacher for a welcoming and supportive school in Barry, starting in September 2025.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher with a love for early Key Stage 2 learning, and a desire to nurture academic and emotional growth in young learners.

  • Strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum, with the ability to adapt for a range of learning needs

  • Two professional references from the last two years
