Salary: Dependent on experience & qualifications, commensurate with industry standards

Job Type: Full Time, Fixed Term Contract (5th January 2026 - 1st July 2026)

Job Hours: Monday - Friday 8.00am - 5.00pm

About Us

Moulsford Prep School is an independent preparatory school for 330 pupils, aged 3 to 13, situated on an idyllic 30-acre site on the banks of the River Thames, near Wallingford in South Oxfordshire.

Formerly an all-boys school, Moulsford is now co-educational from Pre-School to Year 3 with girls progressing through the school year on year, becoming fully co-educational by 2030. Year 5 is currently all boys.

Moulsford aims to nurture the whole child, providing opportunities for each individual to develop their talents and abilities.

The Role

The Role: This is an exciting opportunity to join a thriving Prep School teaching all subjects across the curriculum to Year 5.

The successful candidate will have a passion for teaching, the ability to inspire and enthuse pupils and a desire to get involved in many areas of school life, including coaching sport if this is an interest.

This is a fixed-term contract from 5th January 2026 - 1st July 2026 with the possibility to become permanent depending on the candidate and the requirements of the school.

  • Ability to work independently, as well as being able to work in the wider school team

Education & Qualifications

  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or an equivalent educational qualification
