Duties as a Year 5 Teacher:

1. Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the Year 5 curriculum
2. Assess, monitor, and report on pupils’ progress, maintaining accurate records
3. Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all learners, including those with SEND
4. Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment
5. Maintain high standards of behaviour through positive strategies and clear routines
6. Work collaboratively with year group colleagues and subject leads
7. Communicate effectively with parents and carers about pupil progress and well-being
8. Contribute to wider school life, including assemblies, trips, and enrichment activities
9. Engage in continuous professional development and reflect on your teaching practice
10. Uphold the school’s values, policies, and commitment to safeguarding
