Job description

Teaching Personnel are currently working with a Primary School based in Macclesfield who are seeking a Year 5 Class Teacher starting full-time in September. This is a great opportunity for an ECT looking to start their teaching career, or an experienced Teacher seeking a new and exciting role.

About the role:

  • Ongoing/long-term with opportunity for a permanent opportunity with the school
  • Opportunity to earn £30,000 to £40,000 (dependent on payscale)
  • School is in a great location with excellent transport links between South Manchester and Congleton

As a Year 5 Class Teacher, you will plan and deliver engaging lessons following the national curriculum and incorporating the schools’ values. You will assess pupils informally and ensure they are prepared for the transition into their final year of primary school; providing social and emotional support. Additionally, you will collaborate with support staff to identify gaps in learning and create/implement individualised learning plans for individuals who require additional learning support. This will include adapting lesson plans/work and organising additional interventions.

What we’re looking for:

  • QTS or equivalent
  • Experience teaching in KS2 (teaching placements included)
  • Good knowledge of the curriculum and current behaviour management techniques
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with both colleagues and students
  • A genuine passion for developing the lives of young pupils
