Location: Folkestone, Kent

Salary: £120 - £250 per day

Start date: Term 2 (October Half-Term 2025)

Contract: Part-time, Temporary (Fixed-term to July 2026)

Are you a motivated and caring teacher looking for a rewarding part-time role in Upper Key Stage 2?

If so, then we at GSL Education Kent would love to hear from you. We have a wonderful opportunity for a dedicated Year 5 Teacher to join a warm and inclusive church school located near Folkestone. The selected candidate will work as part of a job-share partnership, teaching a Year 5 class every Thursday and Friday. There is also a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to take on a subject leadership responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons for Year 5 every Thursday and Friday.
• Work collaboratively with the job-share partner to ensure consistency and continuity for the class.
• Assess, record, and report on pupil progress and attainment.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes the school\'s values.
• Potentially lead a subject across the school, with a particular interest in PSHE using the Jigsaw scheme.

Qualifications

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Have experience teaching within Key Stage 2 (Year 5 or 6 experience is desirable).
• Have the right to work in the UK.
• Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
• Be a collaborative, reflective practitioner with excellent communication skills.
