Overview

Year 5 Primary School Teacher — Prospero Teaching is looking for an enthusiastic Year 5 Teacher to work in a primary school in Redbridge, East London. The school is a three-form entry primary school with a supportive leadership team and training provided for all staff. The position is open to both ECTs (early careers teachers) and experienced teachers. Depending on performance, there is a chance that the contract can be extended or potentially become permanent.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver and plan Year 5 lessons and ensure high-quality teaching and learning.
  • Prepare presentations and resources, mark and provide feedback on work, and coordinate activities for parents evenings and other communications with families.
Contract and Work Details
  • Location: Redbridge, East London
  • Position: Year 5 Primary School Teacher
  • Type of work: Class Teacher
  • Start date: September 2025
  • Duration: 1 term with potential extension
  • Contract type: Temporary
  • Hours: 8:00 am – 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday (term time only)
Experience, Training and Qualifications
  • QTS/ECT or equivalent

  • Up-to-date safeguarding training issued in the past year
Eligibility to Apply
  • Have a valid right to work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child Barred List DBS and be enrolled or willing to enroll onto the DBS Update Service
  • Provide two child-related professional references from the past two years
