Year 5 Primary Teacher Needed – Sedgefield

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 5 Primary Teacher to join a welcoming and well-resourced school in Sedgefield. This is a fantastic opportunity for a committed educator to make a real impact on pupils’ learning and development in Key Stage 2.

Position: Year 5 Class Teacher

Location: Sedgefield, County Durham

Contract: Full-time, ongoing (potential for long-term or permanent)

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, term-time only

Responsibilities
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons for Year 5 pupils
  • Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all abilities
  • Maintain positive behaviour and classroom management
  • Assess and track pupil progress, providing feedback and support
  • Work collaboratively with other staff and contribute to school life
Qualifications
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching in Key Stage 2, ideally Year 5
  • Strong knowledge of the national curriculum
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
  • A passion for teaching and a commitment to pupil progress
