Job Description:

Prospero Teaching is seeking an outstanding, passionate, experienced and qualified Year 5 Teacher to join our client 2 form entry Primary School in Portsmouth. This is a full-time role commencing in September 2025.

About the Role
  • Position: Year 5 Teacher (Permanent)
  • Start Date: 3rd September 2025
  • Working Hours: 08:00am – 16:00pm, Monday to Friday
  • Location: Cosham – Portsmouth
  • Rate of Pay: From £ per day (aligned with the teacher pay scale)
What We’re Looking For

We are searching for an experienced and confident teacher who excels in behaviour management and can create an engaging and supportive learning environment. As part of a collaborative and friendly team, you’ll receive the necessary support to thrive in this role.

Essential & Desirable Qualifications
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Prior experience in a similar Key Stage 2 role
  • Commitment to continuing professional development
  • A relevant degree or higher qualification
Eligibility Criteria
  • Have the right to work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service, or be willing to process a new application
  • Possess up-to-date Safeguarding Training (or be willing to undertake this)
