Job description

Job Title: Teaching Assistant (SEND)

Are you a qualified teaching assistant with a background in SEND seeking your next full-time role?

Aspire People is recruiting for a position at a school in Streetly. This role involves working on a 1:1 basis with a Year 4 child who has Autism and is mostly non-verbal. The child spends most of their time within the classroom but requires regular sensory breaks outside the classroom.

Start date: ASAP - July 2025

Requirements:
  • Level 2/3 teaching assistant qualification (or equivalent)
  • Experience with children with additional needs
  • Experience in a primary school setting (preferably 6+ months)
  • Updated and clean DBS on the update service
  • Ability to inspire children
  • Teamwork skills
