Job summary

Mount Pleasant Primary School, part of Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council, seeks a motivated Teaching Assistant Level 2 to cover maternity leave from January 2027. The role is 27.5 hours weekly, in Year 4, with a strong emphasis on supporting learning and safeguarding.

You will join a caring team, contribute to whole-school life, and work closely with teachers to plan, deliver and assess activities, including lunchtime supervision. DBS clearance and Right to Work checks apply.

• Support teachers in planning, delivering and evaluating activities.
• Provide feedback to the teaching team to promote good progress.
• Supervise pupils during break times and lunchtimes as required.
• Assist with safeguarding, health and safety and SEN requirements.
• Contribute to the full life of the school and development of pupils’ confidence.
