Job summary

SANZA Teaching Agency is partnering with a welcoming, Ofsted-rated 'Good' primary school in Southwark to recruit a Year 4 Teacher, starting January 2027. The role is initially temporary with a strong chance of permanent placement for the right candidate.

You will deliver high-quality lessons across the KS2 curriculum, differentiate for all learners, and monitor pupil progress in a supportive two-form entry school.

Qualifications

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience teaching within Key Stage 2, ideally Year 4.
• Strong curriculum knowledge and effective classroom management.
• Plan and deliver creative, engaging lessons that motivate pupils.
• High expectations for pupil progress, behaviour and achievement.
• Team player committed to safeguarding and welfare of children.

Responsibilities

• Teach a Year 4 class with high-quality lessons across the primary curriculum.
• Plan and deliver differentiated lessons to meet all learners' needs.
• Monitor, assess and track pupil progress; adapt teaching accordingly.
• Establish high behaviour and learning expectations.
• Create an inclusive, positive classroom environment to foster curiosity.
• Collaborate with colleagues, support staff and parents to support development.
