Job description

A smaller than average school in Huddersfield is looking for a Year 4 teacher with a view to starting in April 2024. The duration of the contract will run until the end of the school year in July 2025. Are you looking to work in a highly regarded school with an established leadership team and a track record for improving teachers through extensive support and CPD?

The school is a very pleasant and welcoming rural setting on the outskirts of Huddersfield, with a smaller than average cohort in Year 4. However, the significance of the year for both the school and its children is huge. The school is looking to recruit a teacher who is able to offer an uninterrupted commitment to the children and guide them through to the end of the term.

Ideally, the school is looking to recruit a candidate who has worked in Year 4 previously or a teacher who is well-versed in the expectations and curriculum in Key Stage 2. Although a temporary contract, you will be responsible for the class, meaning that you will be fully immersed in the school with your time also extending outside of the classroom. Your time will encompass extracurricular activities, parent evenings, staff meetings, and anything else that would usually accompany a full-time commitment in a school.
