Role Overview

As a Year 4 Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in shaping young minds by delivering engaging, high-quality lessons that inspire curiosity and academic excellence. You will join a collaborative and supportive team with access to excellent resources and ongoing professional development.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching & Learning

  • Plan and deliver creative, engaging, and differentiated lessons aligned with the National Curriculum.
  • Create an inclusive and stimulating classroom environment where every pupil can thrive.
  • Use diverse teaching strategies and assessment methods to promote progress and attainment.
  • Encourage independent learning, critical thinking, and a growth mindset.

Pupil Progress & Assessment

  • Monitor and assess pupil progress regularly, providing constructive feedback to drive improvement.
  • Implement tailored interventions for pupils needing additional support.
  • Maintain accurate records of pupil performance and contribute to reports for parents and school leadership.

Classroom & Behaviour Management

  • Establish and uphold high expectations for behaviour, fostering a positive and respectful classroom culture.
  • Implement the school’s behaviour policies effectively to promote responsibility and mutual respect.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils to encourage motivation and engagement.

Collaboration & Professional Development

  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and drive continuous improvement.
  • Participate actively in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development.
  • Engage with parents and carers to strengthen home-school partnerships and support pupil well-being.

  • Support and participate in school events, trips, and extracurricular activities.

What We Are Looking For
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Proven experience teaching in a primary school, preferably in Key Stage 2.
