Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective lessons for a Year 4 class, following the KS2 curriculum.
  • Create a positive, stimulating, and safe learning environment that encourages student participation.
  • Assess, monitor, record, and report on the progress and development of each student.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of all learners, including those with SEN.
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively to ensure a productive learning atmosphere.
  • Communicate regularly and effectively with parents and carers regarding student progress.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, Teaching Assistants, and the Senior Leadership Team to enhance the educational experience.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school, participating in events and extracurricular activities.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
  • Proven experience and a track record of success in teaching Year 4 or other KS2 year groups.
