Job summary

St Nicholas CE Primary School in England is seeking a Year 4 Teacher for a full-time, long-term temporary role from 2nd November to 18th December. You will deliver KS2 lessons, manage a Year 4 class, assess progress and contribute to staff and parent events.

The ideal candidate will have QTS, KS2 experience and strong communication and organisational skills to support safeguarding and high-quality education.

Qualifications

• QTS required and registered to teach in England.
• Experience teaching within Key Stage 2.
• Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Teach a Year 4 class from 2nd November to 18th December.
• Undertake full teacher responsibilities.
• Plan, prepare and deliver lessons across KS2.
• Assess, monitor and report pupil progress.
• Attend staff meetings on Mondays and parents' evenings.
• Complete SEND paperwork and documentation.

Full-Time Long-Term Opportunity 2nd November to 18th December

Duties as Year 4 Teacher:

• Teach a Year 4 class from 2nd November until 18th December
• Undertake full teacher responsibilities
• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons across the Key Stage 2 curriculum
• Assess, monitor, and report on pupil progress
• Attend and contribute to staff meetings on Mondays
• Attend parents' evenings
• Complete relevant SEND paperwork and documentation
• Use allocated PPA time effectively to support planning and assessment
• Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment

Ideal Year 4 Teacher:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching within Key Stage 2
• Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum
• Excellent classroom management skills
• Experience completing assessment and SEND documentation
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues
