Job Description:

Your new company

This Bristol primary school, located in Hanham, is currently looking for a Year 4 Teacher to start on a part-time basis to cover the Easter break. You will be joining a team of strong and supportive staff members that provide a curriculum that prepares children for their next stage. This school is seeking applications from both experienced and newly qualified candidates with experience in a Year 4 classroom who can showcase their skill and subject knowledge within such a year group.

Your new role

As this will be a part-time role, working two days a week, you will be responsible for planning and delivering lessons to the class as well as marking work. It is important for you to work closely with other teachers and TAs to ensure pupils are progressing, and that work is in line with pupil ability. The school is looking for someone who is adaptable and interested in teaching a class of different abilities. You should make lessons engaging and carry out assessments to report back to parents. The school prefers candidates with previous KS2 experience. However, ECTs are welcome to apply for this role.

What you'll need to succeed

To succeed, you must possess recent experience working with children. Subject leadership is desirable but not essential. Applicants must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). ECTs are also welcome to apply.

What you'll get in return

In return, you will be paid to scale from day one and will join a successful team with ongoing training and development opportunities. You will also be eligible for our Hays Refer a Friend Scheme, where you could receive £250 in high street vouchers.
