Job summary

Teaching Personnel are partnering with a Llanishen, Cardiff primary school to recruit a confident Year 4 Teacher to lead a KS2 class. You will plan engaging lessons aligned to the Curriculum for Wales, differentiate activities, and monitor pupil progress while supporting social and emotional development.

The role requires QTS and KS2 experience, strong organisation, and the ability to work independently within a supportive team. Competitive weekly pay and a full-time pattern are on offer.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Year 4 lessons across the KS2 curriculum

• Differentiate activities to support learners at different levels
• Develop pupils' literacy, numeracy and wider curriculum skills
• Use a range of teaching strategies to maintain engagement
• Manage classroom behaviour consistently and effectively
• Monitor and assess pupil progress
• Identify areas where pupils need support or challenge
• Work closely with teaching assistants and support staff
• Communicate clearly with colleagues and contribute to the school team
• Support pupils' social and emotional development alongside academics
