Job summary

Academics Ltd. are recruiting a Year 4 Primary Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive school in Bexley from December 2027. The role involves full classroom responsibility and delivering engaging lessons to support pupil progress.

The position runs December 2026 to July 2027 with potential for permanency from September 2027 for the right candidate and a handover from mid-December to ensure a smooth transition in January.

Qualifications

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Has primary teaching experience, ideally within Key Stage 2.
• Confident taking full responsibility for a class and managing all aspects of teaching and learning.
• Plan and deliver effective lessons that engage, challenge and motivate pupils.
• Strong classroom management, assessment and organisational skills.
• Reliable, enthusiastic and committed to maintaining continuity for the class.

Responsibilities

• Full-time Year 4 class teacher.
• Full teaching and classroom management responsibilities.
• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
• Assess and monitor pupil progress, adapting teaching to meet different learning needs.
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour, achievement and personal development.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff to promote positive outcomes for pupils.
• Participate in a handover period from mid-December.
