Job description

This is a nurturing and inclusive primary school dedicated to fostering a love of learning. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Year 4/5 Teacher to inspire and support students during these crucial Key Stage 2 years. Beginning September 2025.

Duties as Year 4/5 Teacher:

1. Plan and deliver engaging lessons across the Key Stage 2 curriculum.
2. Create a supportive and stimulating learning environment that encourages curiosity and confidence.
3. Assess and monitor student progress, providing targeted support where needed.
4. Foster strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
5. Use a variety of teaching strategies to accommodate different learning styles.
6. Promote positive behaviour management strategies in line with school policies.
7. Participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and professional development opportunities.

Ideal Year 4/5 Teacher:

1. A degree in Education or a relevant subject.
2. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
3. Experience teaching Key Stage 2, particularly Year 4 or Year 5.
4. Strong classroom management and communication skills.
5. A passion for primary education and student development.
