We are currently recruiting on behalf of a supportive and welcoming primary school in the BS30 area for a Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a Year 3 (Lower Key Stage 2) class.
This is a full-time role starting in September 2025, ideal for someone looking to make a real difference in a child’s educational journey. The position is offered through a well-established education recruitment agency, with ongoing support and professional development opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide dedicated 1:1 support for pupils with SEN, helping them to access the curriculum and reach their potential
Support the class teacher in managing the learning environment and delivering lesson activities
Work closely with the SENCO and other professionals to implement tailored strategies
Build strong, positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
Requirements:
Previous experience working with children, ideally in a school or SEN setting
An understanding of the needs of pupils with additional learning requirements
A patient, caring, and proactive approach to learning support

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
