Year 3 Teacher (Fixed-Term) – Brentwood, Essex

22nd of April start
Fixed-Term, until the end of the academic year
Brentwood, Essex
£135-£200 per day

This is a beautiful, 1-form entry primary school, located in the heart of Brentwood, seeking a passionate and dedicated Year 3 Teacher to join their team after the Easter holidays, with the position running until the end of the academic year. This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher with excellent behaviour management skills and a strong ability to engage a challenging class.

About the Role: As a Year 3 Teacher at this Brentwood Primary School, you will be responsible for delivering a broad and balanced curriculum to a class with a range of needs. The class presents some behavioural challenges, so strong behaviour management strategies will be essential in ensuring a positive and productive learning environment. You will work closely with other staff to implement strategies to support student progress and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver engaging and well-planned lessons in line with the Year 3 curriculum.
  2. Manage classroom behaviour effectively to create a calm and positive learning environment.
  3. Track and assess students’ progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly.
  4. Provide a nurturing, inclusive atmosphere where all students feel valued and motivated.
  5. Work closely with teaching assistants and other staff to support students’ individual needs.
  6. Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and carers to ensure students receive the best possible education and support.

The Successful Candidate Will Have:

  1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  2. Strong experience in teaching at Key Stage 2 (Year 3 preferred).
  3. A proactive and resilient approach to managing challenging classroom behaviour.
  4. Passion for teaching and a commitment to raising standards of learning and achievement.
  5. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  6. A positive and inclusive approach to teaching, with a focus on student welfare and development.
