Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is partnering with a primary academy in Hertfordshire to appoint a Year 3 Teacher for a November start. The role is full-time, 1 year fixed-term, with a supportive team and a small Year 3 class.

You will teach Year 3 with SEN pupils, including ASC and Global Developmental Delay, supported by a TA and LSA. QTS and KS2 experience are essential, along with strong classroom management and collaborative working.

Year 3 Teacher – November Start – Harpenden, Hertfordshire

Full-Time | Fixed-Term Contract (1 Year) | London Fringe MPS £35,602-£54,328 per annum

Tradewind Recruitment is pleased to be working with a welcoming and inclusive primary academy in Hertfordshire, who are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 3 Teacher to join their team from 2 November 2026 on a full-time, one-year fixed-term contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a small Year 3 class and will have the benefit of additional classroom support from both a Teaching Assistant (TA) and a Learning Support Assistant (LSA). The class includes pupils with additional needs, so previous experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), particularly Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and Global Developmental Delay, is essential.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching within Key Stage 2
• Proven experience supporting pupils with SEN, including Autism and Global Developmental Delay
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to effectively differentiate learning
• A nurturing, patient, and inclusive approach to teaching
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
