Location:Just outside of Lancaster

Are you passionate about supporting children's educational journeys? Do you have experience working with Special Educational Needs (SEN) students in a classroom environment? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!

We are currently seeking a dedicated Year 3 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team just outside of Lancaster. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing tailored support to a student with SEN, helping them to achieve their full potential within the classroom setting.

Requirements:

  • A qualification related to working with children in schools, such as Level 2 Supporting Teaching and Learning.
  • Proven experience working in a classroom environment with knowledge of the national curriculum.
  • Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and a strong understanding of various SEN requirements.
  • Must be able to travel to the school location via car.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one support to a Year 3 student with SEN, ensuring their individual needs are met.
  • Assist the student with classroom activities and tasks, adapting teaching materials as necessary.
  • Work closely with the class teacher to implement strategies that support the student's learning and development.
  • Monitor the student's progress and provide regular feedback to the teaching staff and parents/guardians.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and encouraged to succeed.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
