Job summary

GSL Education is seeking a qualified Year 2 Teacher for a school in Newham, with the post located at Newham, Silvertown. The role runs 8:00–16:30 daily on a long-term, full-time basis commencing September 2026. The daily rate ranges from £140 to £180.

QTS is a must for this position. You will be responsible for teaching Year 2, planning as part of a long-term role, and supporting strong subject knowledge in a busy school environment.

Qualifications

• Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience teaching in a Year 2 class.
• Ability to plan as part of a long-term role.
• Willingness to commit to a full-time, long-term position.
• Must have a DBS registered with the update service.
• Two to three professional references covering 2–3 years.

Responsibilities

• Teach and plan lessons for a Year 2 class.
• Contribute to long-term curriculum planning.
• Maintain high standards of classroom behaviour and learning.
• Provide required documentation and references as requested.

Requirements:
