About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Year 2 Teacher to join our team from November 2025 to July 2026. You will be responsible for planning, delivering and assessing a rich, engaging curriculum for Year 2 pupils, fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment, and collaborating closely with staff, leaders and parents to support each child's progress and well-being.

Key Responsibilities & Expectations
  • Plan and deliver high quality lessons across all subjects in the Year 2 curriculum
  • Use formative and summative assessment to track pupils' progress and inform future planning
  • Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all learners, including SEND and EAL students
  • Promote excellent behaviour, attendance and a positive learning culture
  • Develop strong relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues
  • Contribute to wider school life: assemblies, events, extra-curricular activities
  • Collaborate with year group colleagues and subject leads to share best practice and ensure continuity
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development and school improvement initiatives
