What You’ll Be Doing

As our next Year 2 Teacher, you’ll be at the heart of our students’ educational journeys. Your role will include:

  • Building Strong Foundations: You’ll support children through the transition from Key Stage 1, ensuring they develop strong academic foundations and a love for learning.
  • Creating a Supportive Atmosphere: Develop a classroom culture where children feel valued, encouraged, and motivated to do their best.
  • Tracking and Supporting Progress: Regularly assess students’ work and provide constructive feedback to support their individual growth.
  • Collaborative Teamwork: Work closely with your colleagues to plan, share ideas, and create a rich and varied curriculum that supports all learners.
  • Parental Engagement: Maintain strong, open lines of communication with parents, keeping them updated on their child’s progress and supporting them in their educational journey.

We Are Looking For Someone Who…
  • Has Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent qualification.
  • Has experience teaching Year 2 (or a strong desire to do so) and is familiar with the National Curriculum for Key Stage 1.
  • Is creative, dynamic, and adaptable, able to meet the diverse needs of our students.
  • Works well in a collaborative team, always willing to share ideas and learn from others.
  • Communicates effectively with students, parents, and colleagues, creating positive relationships across the school community.
  • Has a genuine passion for teaching and a commitment to helping children thrive both academically and socially.
