An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented and enthusiastic Year 2 Teacher to join a welcoming and forward-thinking primary school in Brent. The school is seeking a dedicated professional to take on this full-time maternity cover role, starting in September 2025.

This is a full-time maternity cover position within the Year 2 team, where you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons aligned with the national curriculum. You will support children’s progress across all areas of learning, prepare them for SATs, and work closely with colleagues and parents to ensure a consistent and enriching educational experience.
You will be supported by a full-time Teaching Assistant and work alongside a parallel Year 2 teacher to plan collaboratively and share best practices.
The ideal candidate will be:
- A qualified teacher with QTS (applications welcome from both ECTs and experienced teachers)
- Confident teaching Key Stage 1, with a sound understanding of the Year 2 curriculum and assessment frameworks
- A reflective and adaptable practitioner, open to feedback and professional growth
- Skilled in differentiation and inclusive practices to meet a range of pupil needs
- Strong in behaviour management and committed to creating a positive, respectful classroom culture
- Passionate about making a meaningful difference in children's learning and development
