If the above sounds like you, you might be the Year 2 Teacher we're looking for. We are seeking an inspiring and dedicated professional to join our team and guide our Year 2 pupils through a pivotal stage of their academic journey.

The Role

As a Year 2 Teacher, you will be a vital part of the school community, responsible for creating an enriching and supportive classroom environment. Your duties will include:

  • Planning and Delivery: Designing and delivering engaging lessons that align with the national curriculum and cater to the diverse needs of all pupils.
  • Classroom Management: Setting up a stimulating classroom, organising resources, and maintaining high expectations for discipline and behaviour in line with school policy.
  • Assessment and Reporting: Completing administrative tasks like taking registers, updating records, marking work, and writing reports on student progress.
  • Individual Support: Providing tailored help to individual pupils, taking responsibility for their academic growth, and using a variety of teaching methods to encourage interaction and learning.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Working closely with colleagues, teaching assistants, senior leadership, and parents to support student well-being, progress, and safety.
Essential Requirements & Skills

  • Must hold QTS or an equivalent qualification.
  • Must have experience in teaching, planning, and assessment.
