Flourish Education in Malvern is seeking a Year 2 Class Teacher for a full-time role from September to December with potential extension into the new year. You will plan, teach, assess and contribute to a supportive KS1 environment.

Are you a dedicated and enthusiastic Key Stage One Teacher looking for a full-time role? A welcoming and supportive Primary School in Malvern is seeking a confident Year 2 Class Teacher to join their team full-time from September until December initially, with the potential for the role to continue into the new year. This role is ideal for a passionate Year 2Teacher who can confidently plan and deliver engaging lessons, maintain a positive learning environment, and support pupils through this important stage of their education. ECTs are welcome to apply and will be well supported by the experienced leadership team. As a Year 2 Teacher, you will take full class teaching responsibility including planning, marking, assessment, and attending staff meetings. The school is looking for someone with a strong understanding of phonics and the KS1 curriculum who can create an inclusive and engaging classroom environment where all pupils can thrive.

As a Year 2Teacher, your responsibilities will include:

• Planning and delivering engaging lessons in line with the KS1 national curriculum.

• Taking full class teaching responsibility for a Year 2 class.

• Delivering high-quality phonics sessions to support early reading development.

• Assessing, tracking, and reporting on pupil progress.

• Creating a warm, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.

• Attending staff meetings and working collaboratively with teaching staff, support staff, and senior leaders.

• Supporting pupils’ emotional wellbeing and academic development.

To be successful in this Year 2 Teacher role, you will need:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

• Previous experience teaching within KS1 or during teaching placements.

• A strong understanding of phonics and the KS1 curriculum.

• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.

• A flexible, reliable, and professional approach.

• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and staff.
