Job Description: Nursery Teacher

Our large, two-form entry primary school in Kirkby is looking for an experienced or newly qualified primary school teacher to work in a nursery class on a full-time basis. The school has a strong, supportive senior leadership team and has received a 'Good' rating with outstanding features in a recent Ofsted inspection.

As a Nursery Teacher, your responsibilities will include:

1. Teaching all areas of the school curriculum.
2. Organising the classroom and learning resources to foster a positive learning environment.
3. Planning, preparing, and delivering lessons suitable for all student abilities.
4. Motivating pupils through enthusiastic and imaginative presentation.
5. Assessing and recording pupils' development progress.
6. Coordinating activities and resources within specific curriculum areas and supporting colleagues.
7. Keeping up-to-date with curriculum changes and developments.
8. Collaborating with colleagues and working flexibly, especially in smaller school settings.

Candidate requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Knowledge of the National Curriculum
• Ability to provide references
• Up-to-date DBS check or willingness to obtain one
• Eligibility to work in the UK
